JDog Territory Manager
We are seeking a dynamic Military Veteran (currently or recently transitioned preferred) with proven leadership and interpersonal skills. Candidate must be willing to do “hands on” work and have both the aptitudes and entrepreneurial drive to establish and grow our business presence in one (or more) geographic territories. Logistics experience and sales skills are highly valued. The Territory Manager will be responsible for the productive and profitable daily operations for junk removal services in a defined territory. Operational success factors include but are not limited to, pricing jobs, driving and providing junk removal collection services, directing day-to-day supervision of laborers, disposing/recycling of collected materials, meeting customers’ expectations, managing the daily routing and job assignment, maintaining DOT and preventative maintenance programs for junk removal vehicles.
Prominently featured in this role are sales, marketing and development of the JDOG Junk Removal and Hauling brand through multiple channels, including “grass roots” community marketing and promotion efforts.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Customers:
•Manage entirety of customer experience from customer acquisition to job performance to follow-up. This includes processing all sales and customer inquiries directed to the territory, meeting with customers, pricing and scheduling jobs, and performing follow-up.
• Ensure all team members (2nd driver, laborers) meet JDOG’s expectations for brand standards (i.e. appearance, uniforms,) and exemplary customer interaction. Work directly with COO to refine and improve operational processes. Leadership of Associates:
• Help recruit, interview, hire, train and retain top talent. • Provide daily support including coaching and hands-on/ride-along training for team members.
• Foster a culture aligned with JDOG’s core military values of Respect, Integrity and Trust.
• Administer “real-time” performance measurement and review of team members.
• Ensure daily and weekly "readiness" meetings are organized, clearly communicated, and implemented.
Operational Excellence:
• Responsible for managing and maintaining all company owned assets.
• Manage daily routing assignments and schedules.
• Determine and plan daily manpower needs based upon workflow.
• Coordinate proper disposal and recycling of materials collected in a manner to maximize reuse/recycling opportunities. • Ensure accurate and timely completion of daily checklist pertaining to the operation.
Regulatory/Compliance:
• Ensure compliance with all DOT requirements including Hours of Service regulations and licensing.
• Ensure compliance as they pertain to proper permits and disposal adhering to all local regulations.
• Responsible for adherence to company policies (i.e. Incident Reports, Drug Screening Policy, HR policies related to safety and compliance).
Financial Management:
• Manage the day-to-day operation with a focus on improved efficiency and profitability.
• Routine reviews of P&L statements with management.
Other Duties:
• Flexibility to travel for JDOG meetings and training programs.
• May be required to perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
• Ability to stand and walk up to 8 hours a day; Ability to stoop, bend, crouch, crawl and lift items weighing up to 75 lbs.
